Yeah, they do sound like Led Zepplin, but, they started writing music when they were barely teenagers. Of course, they'll show their influences. As they'll make more albums (assuming they stay together) their sound will drift to more originality, most likely. The songs by Led Zeppelin that sound like Greta Van Fleet is the hard rock Led Zeppelin songs such as Immigration Song, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, etcetera; though, Zeppelin has a wide variety of sounds.
Greta has a limited variety of sounds. The point is, so did Zeppelin when they released their first album (disregarding Yardbirds). Greta has only released one album and some EP's. Basically, what I'm implying is GIVE THEM A CHANCE! Lots of musicians/musical groups are inspired by and emulate past artists. That is fine, and is generally a great thing - see Zeppelin themselves on how they took the blues and did something different with it, along with Jeff Beck, et cetera. But there is a point where emulation becomes mimicry and aping; pointless & childish imitation, masturbatory sousing in a cliched forgery.
Greta Van Fleet are the embodiment of this. They are but a counterfeit (and dull) loudness. Is it listenable? It is enjoyable? But it is also fake. Folks wonder why 'rock' is at such a cultural low point, at least with respect to new rock music being made.

It is so wrapped its (brilliant) past, fully worth celebrating and listening to by the way, that it cannot get past what has been (even despite the best efforts of the Jack Whites, and others who are inspired by past music but don't pathetically mimic it.) Instead rock wallows in its past greatness and plastic forgeries, like this utterly pointless band, are hailed on high as its saviors and guiders on a path back to greatness, but who really sink the genre into even more pathetic clownish imitation and irrelevancy. I am sorry to be so harsh and verbose about this, but is it the truth, and I feel very strongly about it. By supporting pointless nostalgic garbage like this (and saying it will save rock music) you are doing serious harm to a genre (I assume) you love, which is, within a solely pop culture/popularity/cultural relevance context, in a bad way. There is so much interesting music both from the past and currently being made fully within the genre of 'rock,' that is absolute madness (and laziness) to fawn over plastic musical fakery and quackery instead. That is what I have to say. Go support current artists actually making interesting and new music, inspired by the past, but actually creative, purposeful, thoughtful, and original, and NOT pseudo-Led-Zeppelin rubbish.
